Computer Vision / Machine Learning Scientist
Responsibilities
- Research, develop and employ state-of-the-art computer vision and machine learning methods to the problem of emotion recognition.
- Be responsible for data collection and analysis.
- Optimize existing algorithms for improved accuracy and robustness.
Experience
- A Masters degree in computer vision, machine learning or related areas.
- Expertise in face tracking, facial analysis and recognition or feature extraction, tracking and classification.
- A strong track record building machine vision systems.
- Solid background and experience in pattern recognition, computer vision, and machine learning.
- Excellent programming skills (especially C++). OpenCV is a plus.
- Matlab is a must.
User Interface and User Experience Designer
Responsibilities
- Participate in concept development, design ideation, and detailed specification of visual designs for user interfaces of the future and existing products.
- Successfully communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user centered design process.
- Produce design specifications, storyboards, scenarios, design prototypes.
- Create visual designs and user Interface design that address business, brand, market, and user requirements, including design and production of screen layouts, color palettes, typography, and interface elements.
- Collaborate with producers, product manager, and researchers to refine the user experience.
- Work with web developers to deliver the final product.
Experience
- Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, information design, digital media design or other visual arts. Five or more years experience as a key member of a user interface team participating in the complete product development lifecycle of several successfully launched web and/or software applications.
- Creative skills: looking for strong design skills including screen layouts, visualization of data, information design and typography. Must have understanding of user-centered design principles and a great eye for detail. Able to develop new approaches to complex design problems and convey ideas into tangible form. We require a portfolio to be submitted with your application.
- Communication skills: candidates must able to collaborate effectively with others in a cross-functional team and be able to rationalize and present their design ideas and decisions effectively. Must be able to prioritize and manage work to adhere to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical skills: Advanced knowledge of Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Flash or similar graphics/user interface design team software. Must have solid grasp of graphic and web design principles and good understanding of current web technologies.
