Affectiva is looking for an Office Manager to keep our office running smoothly while also assisting the Finance and HR teams.

Responsibilities

As Affectiva’s Office Manager, you will:

  • Run the office, including catering, deliveries, furniture, and all non-IT infrastructure
  • Interface with building management (Synergy Management)
  • Manage vendors (e.g. phones, internet, cleaners, coffee, snacks, insurance)
  • Work closely with and support the office manager for the Cairo Office
  • Plan company events and outings
  • Finance assistance includes:
    • Payroll administration (Paychex)
    • Expense management
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Stock Option Management
  • HR assistance includes
    • Benefits administration (via benefits broker)
    • Government compliance (I9’s, labor laws etc., Handbook)
    • Maintain HR records
    • Organize new employee onboarding and offboarding
    • Recruitment
    • Assist Managers and Employees with Visa Processing
    • Uphold and encourage our core values (Rockstar)
    • Complete mandatory audits (insurance, workers compensation)
  • Executive Support
    • Support CEO and COO with any requested duties
    • Assist CEO with travel and scheduling
    • Schedule Board Meetings

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 – 6 years business experience
  • Work in a start-up a plus
  • Experience in office management
  • Experience in either finance or HR

Skills

  • Be able to prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Close attention to detail
  • Be able to use g-suite, microsoft excel, paychex, quickbooks, slack and dropbox
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
