Rana el Kaliouby

Rana is co-founder and CEO of Affectiva. Having defined the category of Emotion AI, Rana is now pioneering Human Perception AI: technology that can understand all things human.  A passionate advocate for innovation, ethics in AI and diversity, Rana has been recognized on Fortune’s 40 Under 40 and Forbes America’s Top 50 Women in Tech. Rana is a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.  She holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a Post Doctorate at MIT.

Tim Peacock

Tim is Affectiva’s Chief Operating Officer and VP of Engineering. He built Affectiva’s engineering team from the ground up and led the team to create the world’s first Emotion AI platform, turning MIT research into products used by Fortune 100 companies. As COO, Tim oversees Affectiva’s data driven planning and decision processes. Prior, Tim spent 8 years at Lotus, where he led development of Lotus 1-2-3. He is a proud MIT alum.

Gabi Zijderveld

Gabi is our CMO. She created the new technology category of Emotion AI and positioned Affectiva to dominate this space with a successful marketing strategy, including high volume press coverage to drive industry awareness. Gabi also leads our product strategy to deliver on our multi-modal vision. She has over 20 years of product management and international experience at leading tech companies including Dragon Systems and IBM.

Andy Zeilman

As Chief Strategy Officer, Andy leads Affectiva’s growth strategy and adoption of its core technologies through strategic partnerships. Andy heads up our automotive business, as well as the go to market strategy for other key growth sectors for Affectiva. Prior, Andy was at Nuance Communications where he led the Enterprise Division’s Global OEM Team. He also served as a Special Agent in the FBI.

Graham Page

Graham leads our Media Analytics business unit as Global Managing Director of Media Analytics at Affectiva. A serial research innovator, he pioneered the integration of biometric and behavioral measures to mainstream brand and advertising research for 26 years as Executive Vice-President and Head of Global Research Solutions at Kantar Millward Brown. A frequent conference and media speaker, he has written and presented widely on topics including building successful brands, emotions in advertising, and neuromarketing. He studied experimental psychology at Oxford.

Jay Turcot

Jay is Affectiva’s VP of AI and leads our team of machine learning researchers, focused on bringing to market our core emotion technology. Jay guides our data acquisition and annotation strategies, and development of new deep learning techniques to improve the robustness, speed and accuracy of our emotion models across vision and speech modalities. He has a graduate degree from the University of British Columbia.
